Se si deve indicare una data certa per la “nascita” discografica del jazz moderno in Italia questa è sicuramente il 1949, quando la Durium incise alcuni gruppi sotto il patrocinio degli Amici del Jazz Hot Club Milano.
Oggi queste incisioni dopo essere state dimenticate, vengono per la prima volta finalmente pubblicate nel 21mo CD della Riviera Jazz Records. Sono incisioni di alcuni fra i migliori musicisti attivi fra la fine degli anni 40 e gli anni 50 nella zona di Milano, i cui nomi è doveroso ricordare. continua
